        Verdict

        Spoof gave every indication that he is ready to strike following a fine effort when second over 3m3f at Kelso last month. Lennie Lungo's charge looked the likely winner having travelled smoothly throughout and held every chance from the third last only to tire in the closing stages. The outing will have sharpened up the seven-year-old and the drop in trip will be in his favour so he should prove hard to beat off a 2lb lower mark. Wainak has shown a consistent level of form of late and should go well once again with ground/trip not a problem but Jallastep would have preferred better conditions and the lightly raced Tullimoss needs to improve to figure off her current mark.
