Verdict
Little form to go on and, as ever in this type of event, the market should provide an invaluable guide but Armaguedon sets a fair standard and gets the TEAMtalk vote. Lennie Lungo's charge confirmed the merit of a promising debut here in April when a convincing nine-length bumper winner at Newcastle two weeks ago. Sure to have improved again, the highly regarded son of Garde Royale can overcome a 7lb penalty. Mary Reveley is a trainer to fear at this level and the Saltburn handler is doubly represented with Nobratinetta, who shaped encouragingly when a staying-on third of 23 over 12f at Newbury on her debut last month. The daughter of Celtic Swing will appreciate both the step up in trip and the testing conditions. Brigante Girl ran well despite being badly hampered on her initial start at Bangor in October and will have benefitted from the experience while newcomer Raise Your Glass makes some appeal on breeding and should be noted in the exchanges.
