Verdict

Saxonette last won over a year ago and, though she's been running consistently, generally finds a couple too good. Rock Canyon has won three times, all at Hamiliton, but The Nifty Fox is probably still capable of winning a race of this nature. Neither Funding Deficit nor Black Douglas can be called prolific with just one victory each but Fol Hollow has won 11 times in a long career and may not be finished yet. LORD BUFFHEAD has had 13 unsuccessful runs since scoring at Wolverhampton in February but is now back on the same mark and is handed the vote. Autumn Tide was having her first start for a year when gaining a shock victory here on Saturday but a 6lb penalty is unlikely to prevent another big effort.
