In depth

Verdict

The step up in trip can help Kiswahili get the better of Double Deputy, while Indian Pipe Dream is also respected and should not be too far away at the finish. The rest appear to have something to find and are for the brave only at this level. Indian Pipe Dream took his time to get the hang of things this term before finally coming good at Haydock last month. However, a 6lb rise does him no favours and he needs to be at the very top of his game this afternoon. Double Deputy - a half-brother to top-class miler Lend A Hand - had very few problems with a mile and six when he won at Nottingham 25 days ago and has to be a serious contender to follow up. He looks a leading player for Godolphin at Ayr today and it may be a sensible policy to include him as a saver option. However, the value lays with Kiswahili, who will be better suited to this trip and, as she will love the ground, the daughter of Selkirk gets our vote here.
