In depth

Verdict

Keith Reveley's Club Class has shown promise in two starts in bumpers and on his hurdling debut at Newcastle last month and he has to be respected but EDGE OF TOWN sets a decent standard in this novices' hurdle and he is hard to oppose with Snow Wizard looking the best of the rest. The selection has earned a rating of 125 over hurdles following a win at Wetherby over 2m6f in December and a good third behind Bygones Of Brid at Newcastle last month. The slightly longer trip today should not inconvenience Don McCain's gelding and he should be tough to beat. Jim Goldie's Return Perk was pulled up on his only start so far and is hard to recommend, while Bel Hugo looks the second best of James Ewart's two runners behind Snow Wizard, having been well beaten in the same race that Return Perk ran in. Snow Wizard lacks any racing experience but is well bred and could be of interest first time up. Edge of Town has shown a decent level of form though and is hard to oppose.
