        Verdict

        Star City showed good battling qualities to get his neck in front in a soft ground maiden at Thirsk last time. He'll need to improve again back in a handicap and CHOOKIE AVON makes more appeal. He's finished closer since dropping back to a winning mark and a repeat of last month's second in better company over C&D should see him come out best. North Central is another on a decent mark though he remains out of form and a visor replaces the usual cheekpieces, while Morna's Glory posted a better effort on her handicap debut at Catterick last week and could figure. Giorgio's Dragon is also lightly-raced and worth a second glance.
