Verdict
Kimberlite Candy won by 10 lengths on heavy going at Chepstow in April but has an 8lb rise to contend with on his return to action. PROGRESS DRIVE has won four of his starts around here and can be forgiven his run in a very competitive novices’ handicap in April when the going was too quick – he should hold his own in decent company in the north this winter. Swingbridge needs faster ground but was out of his depth last month at Cheltenham. Silver Tassie usually runs well here but, like the ultra-consistent Nakadam, is an infrequent winner. Carrigdhoun is starting to look a bit long in the tooth and seems best at Carlisle while Morning Royalty is a Cartmel specialist.
