In depth

Verdict

The newcomers Quaffle and Irelands Cross would not need to be out of the ordinary to win this first time out but Frank Crow sets a decent standard and he gets the vote. The selection showed that his debut outing when 50/1 at Haydock was no fluke when finding just High Curragh to good here over six furlongs subsequently and he has shown enough to suggest today's extra furlong will suit. Ayam Jantan has given little sign of encouragement so far and of more interest is stablemate Quaffle, who should appreciate the recent rain and warrants respect first time out. Sinner Or Saint is difficult to recommend on form shown so far, while The Dunion would also need to improve and a bigger threat is likely to come from another of the newcomers Irelands Cross. Frank Crow has not done a great deal wrong though and he gets the vote.
