In depth
Verdict
Tender Moments is the pick ahead of White Deer, Rosbay, Princeton and Kilburn. Tender Moments put up a remarkable display on her Haydock debut back in May, missing the break and then storming home in the heavy ground to open her account. She was not unbacked either, so it was a bit disappointing to see her beaten on a return visit to the Merseyside track. With hindsight however, the going was much too fast that day, and the combination of easier ground and a step up in trip will hopefully bear fruit on this, her nursery bow. White Deer is definitely going the right way judged on an Epsom victory, while Rosbay has plenty of experience to call upon. So does Princeton, and when you consider the amount of juveniles housed at Mick Channon's Lambourn establishment, the fact that he is sent all the way up speaks volumes. Kilburn has to give weight away all round, while those at the other end of the weights make little appeal, and we return to Tender Moments as the answer.
