        Verdict

        A runner-up in a Listed contest over 6f at Ripon last time, PRIVATE MATTER (NAP) romped home by six lengths in soft ground over the minimum trip at Nottingham back in June. He should confirm latest running with Kocollada and go close. Clem Fandango also finished ahead of the latter when third in the Queen Mary at Ascot and Smokey Lane seemed to handle soft going when runner-up at Sandown earlier this season with Just An Idea back in third. Savannah's Dream has a shout on her second in the Windsor Castle at Ascot but the remainder have some improving to do on these terms if they are to get involved.
