Verdict
Ruth Carr's Chosen One has done little wrong of late but gave the impression at Pontefract earlier this month that the handicapper now has his measure following three wins on the bounce and a better bet looks to be Noel Wilson's RIDLEY DIDLEY, who is preferred to Crimea. The David Nicholls-trained gelding has disappointed in both starts this term but has been given a chance by the handicapper having been dropped 3lbs since his most recent start so it may be too soon to write him off. Methaaly has not won for some time and could probably do with being dropped a few pounds, while Jim Goldie's River Falcon did not run to the form that he is capable of behind Hamish McGonagall at Musselburgh last time and is better than that. Ryan Style is lightly raced and open to improvement but he seems a shade high in the weights and preference is for Noel Wilson's Ridley Didley, who has been running consistently well and he can race off the same mark as when narrowly beaten in his last two outings.
