Verdict
A few of these have lost their way a little so it could be prudent to give Vicious Warrior a chance to prove himself capable of giving weight away at this level. There is not much to split Countykat and Stoic Leader on this season's form and both can be considered as fair hopes for each-way players. While Sarraaf has two ways of running but has improved his attitude a little since he joined Jim Goldie from Ian Semple. Sea Storm is another that pops up from time to time and has some decent course form to his name. However, he is yet to win a race from six previous visits and is a risky proposition for win only purposes today. Which brings us back to Vicious Warrior, who ran a blinder before tiring in the John Smiths Cup nine days ago. The slight drop in trip will suit Richard Whittaker's charge and, as he is a very tough horse to get past when he is really on song, this looks to be the ideal time to catch Vicious Warrior in this much easier assignment than he has been presented with of late.
