Trainer Jim Goldie declared he was delighted with Hogmaneigh's draw in stall two but with most of the other trainers favouring high draws we'll side with REDFORD while Sonny Red could be overpriced and value for place money. Handler Michael Bell doesn't send many here and the selection can make this rare foray worthwhile. Not seen in the winners' enclosure since taking a valuable heat at Newcastle last June, Redford's been lightly raced since and confirmed his well being with a good run when placing at Ascot in decent contest last time. The drop to six furlongs here could be ideal for him. Hogmaneigh is back at his last winning mark and is usually competitive at this level and he is effective in these conditions. Sonny Red looks to have been crying out for a return to six furlongs in his last few runs. He keeps hinting that he still has winning performances in him including when finishing very strongly over the minimum trip at York two starts ago. Previous winner Advanced is another to consider of those given a low draw after a good run in defeat last time while anything trained by David Nicholls in thus race is worthy of respect. Evens And Odds is probably the pick of his team this time around.
