Plenty of the runners in this sprint handicap have winning course form but THOUGHTSOFSTARDOM's last run gives him the edge over all weather maiden The History Man while the Jolly Ranch was finishing with intent on his last start and is also considered. The last effort was a slight return to form for the pick, who stayed on well to grab a place late on getting up ahead of a subsequent winner. His mark looks competitive with a further two pounds removed from his load and if he is back to form he should have enough to take this. If not then The History Man can use his own feather-light burden to take advantage with gelding's pilot removing five pounds from his load. That said he is yet to win on polytrack which remains a slight concern. Jolly Ranch finished the best of the lot on his last performance to grab a silver medal. His mark rise has been all but negated by his jockey's claim and his sole success has come over this trip. Ron Harris' Decider looks interesting now back on the polytrack but in a tight opener Thoughtsofstardom just gets the call.
