Verdict
A dire closer and BLACKWELL NATION can land it at the expense of Rocket Ruby and What A Fella. The filly was heavily backed last time on her British debut and it could be worth chancing that those backers will be chasing their losses this afternoon. The drop to five is a worry but if the going is genuinely good or worse, she should be able to make her presence felt late. Rocket Ruby had no chance with the winner at Doncaster in an amateur riders event. It is always dangerous to translate form from these races without taking a pinch of salt but there is no shortage of early pace in her make up. Makaykla was a bitter disappointment at Leicester having shaped with a degree of promise as a juvenile. Mary West was cast out of Richard Fahey's stable at the end of last season and has probably not given the Malton handler too many sleepless nights. The remaining trio are out of the handicap and look to be seriously up against it. Blackwell Nation is a token pick in a race that is unlikely to be making too many of Tuesday morning's headlines.
