        Verdict

        Spear may just get the better of King's Account, with Invertiel and Haatmey taken to give a good account of themselves as well. Some progressive juveniles line up here and those mentioned should all pay to follow. On this occasion we expect Spear to improve enough on his promising second behind Fongtastic at Newmarket to open his account. David Loder's charge, a Royal Lodge and Derby entry, stood out in the paddock at headquarters, and will be a potent force over further next term. King's Account holds no fancy entries at present but shaped well when staying on behind Thunderwing at Thirsk and will handle cut in the ground. Invertiel was a bit unlucky in running when beaten at Hamilton but has more to do here, while Haatmey looked nothing special at Folkestone but can only improve, and hails from a stable housing plenty of juvenile talent. Coconut Squeak appears to be the best of James Given's duo but is another that might be too highly tried here against the principals, the best of whom can prove to be Spear.
