Verdict

This looks like quite an open handicap and from a shortlist of Red Skipper, Miss Sunshine and Easy Wonder we will nominate Miss Sunshine. The selection is a nice filly and she was not disgraced behind Miss Slick last time. This slightly faster ground will suit her and she has a fair draw so she looks the percentage call. Red Skipper certainly has the ability to get competitive here, but he is not ideally drawn, the ground is arguably against him and he also has an absence to overcome. Easy Wonder is another who has not been done any favours by the draw and although his sole win came over trip, he is possibly at his best over an extra furlong. Richard Fahey has got his string in good form at present so Maahe is another worth a mention, and if the market were to speak in her favour then it could pay to take the hint. A tough race to call and the tentative vote is given to Miss Sunshine.
