In depth

Verdict

Sweet Smile has the best form of the two to have raced previously, having run a creditable fourth behind Mick Channon's Danidh Dubai at Haydock, and he has to be respected but the finish is more likely to involve the two newcomers Takaatuf and Benato The Great with preference for the latter. Bryan Smart has his string in good form right now, the son of Acclamation is bred for plenty of speed and he is taken to make a winning debut. Anne Duffield's Scarlet Blade was well held on his Beverley debut and so looks best watched and of more interest may be Mark Johnston's newcomer Takaatuf. By Dubai Destination out of an unraced half-sister to Kasthari, he is bred to be useful but is also bred to come into his own over middle distances and he may find Benato The Great too speedy.
