In depth

Verdict

If Style Dancer handles the step back in distance he has the bare form to trouble most of his rivals here. Consistent all season, Tim Easterby's charge has managed just one share of first place prize money this season and connections see this as a good chance to win some more. However Soller Bay is the value TEAMtalk selection in this tricky race. Karl Burke has always thought highly of this gelding and he is on the same mark when he won a competitive handicap at Newmarket last year. The main negative is his draw but if he can overcome that he should run well at a big price. Of those better drawn J R Stevenson is due a win in a big handicap and looks on a fair mark at present. Travelling Band has had his training problems but has done nothing wrong this season and some of that form is working out well. Muchea seems to have rekindled some interest in his racing these days and has run well recently at York and Doncaster. Tony Tie can not be discounted due to his consistency while the pick of David Nicholls' runners looks to True Night.
