Verdict

What's The Story and Euchen Glen are both in the veteran stage now but they are the only previous course and distance winners in the line-up. The former possibly has the best recent form but is getting no help from the handicapper. Jim Goldie also runs Fools Rush In while Cockalorum came good at Hamilton and his yard also saddle the potentially well-treated Marie's Diamond. Mr Alan is making a belated reappearance but would have a chance on last year’s form. Painters Palette has won two of his last three and was second here in June but AULD TOON LOON has also had a good season. He was apprentice-ridden last time and is better judged on an earlier second behind a subsequent winner at Haydock.
