      Verdict

      Golden Melody was only ninth in this last year, behind fourth Dungar Glory, but is 7lb lower in the weights now. However, she has become difficult to place. Sophiesticate was second in first-time headgear here last time and has every chance of going one better but it’s about time BOSC GIRL was getting her head in front. She’s only had seven career starts and has finished second three times this year. Fiver Friday won by 15 lengths at Musselburgh but had little to beat but Alpha Female is due to go up 4lb for finishing second at Kempton and has now placed in both handicap runs so far.
