Verdict

Dragon Mountain should do better dropping back down in class and trip today on his third start for new connections. Maulesden May and stablemate Corton Lad also drop down in distance with the former preferred off his current mark while X Rated won off a higher mark at Haydock last year but hasn’t raced since October. GUVENOR’S CHOICE has little chance behind Clayton, rated 96, on his return from a lay-off in a claimer at Redcar. But he ran well in third and, having his second outing after wind surgery with Danny Tudhope taking over the reins, is fancied to make a winning start for Marjorie Fife’s yard.
