In depth

Verdict

Lord Riddiford rather lost his way on Turf at the end of last year but won at Chelmsford in March. The drop to 5f may not suit Wentworth Falls but he’s been running in some tough handicaps over the last couple of years. Lomu won twice at Wolverhampton in December but may also be better over 6f on Turf. National Anthem will need to improve on his all-weather form on this surface but Justanotherbottle has claims on last year’s victory at Sandown. EEH BAH GUM has his ground and the handicapper is finally cutting him some slack so it would be no surprise to see Tim Easterby’s sprinter pick up the winning thread again.
