Scotland's annual conundrum can go to Borderlescott although he faces a tough task with Indian Trail, Knot In Wood and Majestic Times all holding formbook claims. Robin Bastiman's charge is reportedly stronger than ever this term and while he has a huge weight to carry in this event, he has a good draw and a confident jockey aboard. Compensation awaits for string of high quality efforts this term. Indian Trail has been in cracking form of late and has the services of Frankie Dettori this afternoon. He has won previously over six furlongs but softening going may not help. Knot In Wood won easily at Hamilton and has to have every chance if delivering a similar performance from an 8lb higher mark. The draw does not on the face of it, look helpful. Majestic Times has been on something of a losing run but this Irish raider is much better than his recent form suggests and appears likely to give his backers a good run for their money at the likely odds. Obe Brave is proven in big handicaps and should run his race. Buachaill Dona is still potentially open to improvement and is watched in the market. Patavellian could be a factor if reproducing his form of a season ago while Pearly Wey has a nice racing weight and has acquitted himself well in similar contests of late. Beaver Patrol has it to do under his penalty while Appalachian Trail cannot be discounted from a positive draw position. A good renewal as it should be and Borderlescott is taken to see off allcomers.
