Verdict
Dorothy Lawrence is just 1-6 but she has been campaigned at a very high level and that sole win came over 5f here in July. NAVASSA ISLAND ran the smart Porta Fortuna to a neck in a Group 3 at Naas on her debut. She didn’t do as well behind the same filly in the Albany Stakes at Royal Ascot and then found an extended 7f too far at Leopardstown but she had too much pace for the subsequent Newbury winner She’s Quality at the Curragh last month and has warranted another crack at this level. Pretty Crystal was ahead of the selection in the Albany and has done nothing wrong in this grade in two starts since while Raqiya is making strides and looks a major player. The unbeaten Great Generation is also respected given she arguably has the most scope of these.
