BAVARIAN NORDIC can complete his hat-trick although he may have something to fear from Best Prospect and Hurlingham amongst others. The selection's success on his penultimate start was the first of his career but the way that he powered away from a fair field at Newcastle last time suggests that it was no flash in the pan. He's actually badly in here under a 6lb penalty but he relishes this ground and is in the form of his life. Wind Shuffle and Grandad Bill were only separated by half a length here last month and both are clearly well suited by the rigours of this test and cannot be left out of the equation. Best Prospect has slipped back to the mark off which he was last successful and he has often run well at this time of year in the past; heavy ground suits and it would be no surprise to see him return to form. Hurlingham hasn't quite seemed to get home on his last two starts at a shade beyond this trip and should be more of a threat back at this distance. However, we're going to side with the progressive Bavarian Nordic.
