Verdict

A disappointing turnout for the 13-furlong contest which can see Golano gain his first career success. Never out of the money in five runs (including once on heavy), his Goodwood third on 20 May reads well and he can gain that overdue win. Dual AW winner, Coolbythepool, races from just out of the handicap, and Starry Lodge will have his supporters as he bids to get back to winning ways, although his worst career efforts have been on going with give in it. You Never Know looks fairly treated on what he has achieved so far.
