          Verdict

          Tom Tun ran as though something was amiss on firm ground at Pontefract six weeks ago but has been given a break since and should go close if reproducing the form of his Doncaster win in March despite being 6lb higher. Legal set has enjoyed a most profitable winter campaign winning four times on the Lingfield polytrack surface and this game front runner will make a bold bid to defy a 3lb rise for a narrow Doncaster success earlier in the month. Ragamuffin showed he was on the way back with a fine Hamilton second while Undeterred has slipped down to a most attractive mark and can't be dismissed. There may be more to come from the lightly raced and in-form Haulage Man who, along with the fairly treated John O'Groats, merits consideration in an open heat.
