Verdict
New Wish was easy to back on his York debut but ran above expectations when chasing home the useful Royal Beacon and was clear of the remainder. The son of Ali-Royal should prove hard to beat at this level with the experience gained while Golden Nun was unsuited by Chester but has run creditably in defeat otherwise behind fair yardsticks and, along with Chester maiden fourth Ronnie From Donny, should provide the main opposition.
