Verdict

Fly De Megaudais gained a surprise victory over the course and distance last month, his only placed effort in 14 starts, before reverting to type at Cork. LORD BORU had been going well over the minimum trip before finding 2m4f just too far at Cork though he was in the lead at this distance and looks the one to be on. Captain Courageous, three times a winner on the level, ran well when fifth at Fairyhouse and started favourite at Perth last time but couldn't cope with Oromo, who was receiving 15lb. He looks certain to get into contention while Zoffalee showed his first sign of ability over timber when runner-up at Wexford.
