Stormey looked to have a good chance in the 8.15 here last night so that result should be monitored. Joseph O'Brien has four runners and both Ivanovich Gorbatov and Tigris River are high-class handicap hurdlers. The latter, who won the 2017 Galway Hurdle, will be sharper for his chasing debut at Down Royal and may come out best of his trainer's quartet. Cliff House was in front of him at Down Royal then was just touched off by Cooldine Brig here three weeks ago. He looks certain to go well but it's a surprise to see WICKLOW BRAVE making his debut over fences at an advanced age. The winner of 14 races, he's been in excellent form over hurdles this year with placed efforts behind Espoir D'Allen at Naas, beaten a short-head in the Coral Cup at Cheltenham, and less than 4l behind Buveur D'Air in the Punchestown Champion Hurdle. If taking to fences he'll be the one to beat. Cenotice and Red Pearl have won over hurdles around here and are others to consider in an intriguing contest.
