In depth
Verdict
With those at the top of the weights having shown nothing so far, Beauly may get the better of Transatlantic and Just Beth in the opener. Beauly beat stablemate Major Blue in a similar race to this at Warwick 11 days ago, and remains at the right end of the handicap. Greg Richards takes three-pounds off his back and he is expected to be in the shake-up again. Transatlantic has failed to settle early in his career, but shaped much better at Leicester last time when chasing home Impish Jude. It would be no surprise were he to go one better in this moderate affair. Just Beth takes a big drop back in trip after finishing second to Sloane Street over an extended three miles at Doncaster recently. A winner over that sort of trip at Market Rasen in the past, he will at least be staying on at the end. Border Star would not have to improve much to figure either, but Beauly is saddled with the vote.
