Verdict

Chestnut Pete was third at Uttoxeter following a lengthy absence and clearly has some ability. Methusalar still has a bit to prove at this level but he’s been keeping on in recent races and is preferred to the Sedgefield runner-up Bright Sunbird and Annies Prayer, who often flatters to deceive. MASKIA (NAP) appears to improving and can shrug off a 3lb rise for finishing a close second at Doncaster.
