Verdict
The form of Master Of War's victory at Warwick was given a solid boost at Southwell at the weekend and, as such, there seems little point in deserting the mount of Tony McCoy for the inferior claims held by Snipe and Rival Bidder tonight. However, Musimaro and Taffrail, although unreliable, have both posted solid enough claims for them to be given chances and they are expected to pose the selection the most problems. However, Master Of War went well when he was last tried here and has looked a reformed character since he has been upped to this sort of distance. The handicapper has not taken any chances with the son of Sri Pekan having put him up 12lb for his bloodless victory last time. Even so, the manner in which he gained that victory suggested that there was more to come from Master of War and he has a very good chance to prove it in the final race of the evening at Bangor.
