In depth

Verdict

MAN OF LIGHT didn't show much in five Flat starts but has looked a different proposition over hurdles, shaping well on debut and still contending when unseating two out last time. He is unproven on soft ground which reduces enthusiasm but is worth the risk in a race of no deep form. Aumerle and Annies Prayer should come on for decent efforts last time and it will be interesting to see if cheekpieces have the desired effect on Lady Tremaine, who disappointed last time after going close at Newcastle. She's a player if back to that level. Keep a close eye on Army Of One, who revealed promise on the Flat this spring and now has a first start for the Dr Newland team.
