In depth

Verdict

The main principles in this handicap include Nocatee, Donovan and Dolzago with the vote going to the last named. Dolzago won a novice event in May before having a below par campaign on the level. His last run back over hurdles was a sound one as he was only beaten four lengths and another performance like that one will see him go very close. Nocatee won a handicap on the flat before scoring at Stratford on his hurdles debut. He could not follow up on that effort when beaten with a penalty at Market Rasen last time out. He has his first run in Handicap company today and any market support should be noted. Donovan does the same as he won in novice company and failed to win with a penalty and with his first run in this company and support from a shrewd yard are worth noting. But for the winner we return to Dolzago.
