In depth

Verdict

Hypnotic stands out here ahead of Linngari and Takhleed. The Sir Mark Prescott-trained selection has won his last two races, both of them over course and distance, and has looked very progressive in the process. Admittedly, he has to concede weight to a field that includes Linngari, third to the subsequently Group-placed Wilko on his Yarmouth debut, and the unraced but well-bred Marcus Tregoning newcomer Takhleed. There must also be something to like about Alan Jarvis's Turtle Bay, as he cost 75,000 euros, and Aberdeen can also not be dismissed out-of-hand. Bunny Rabbit was not too far behind Brecon Beacon last time, which is not bad form, while Raza Cab , who is also a course and distance winner, was only four lengths behind Elliot's World in a York Listed race last time. However, we will stand by Hypnotic, who left a very good impression when he scored over course and distance last time.
