Verdict
It is hard to get too worked up about a lot of these and maybe Waziri can get back to winning ways, but Thirteen Tricks and Fuel Cell also came under consideration. The selection won at Goodwood from today's mark in June and would probably not have been suited by the nine and 14 furlongs trips he has encountered on his last two runs. Having proven that he acts around here and on good to soft going, he must surely be competitive in a race that lacks strength. Thirteen Tricks had a confidence- boosting win in a Brighton maiden last time and, with the handicapper not raising her mark for that, she too should go well. Fuel Cell went from a Folkestone maiden win to run well in first-time blinkers last time at Sandown in a handicap and, having done little wrong there, might make them all go. Turning to the others and Planters Punch and Magic Sting have both been beaten from revised marks since winning and Sir Mark Prescott's Rhetorical, despite being well bred, has not shown too much so far. Much as Willhego has improved of late, that has come on the Polytrack and his Turf form is not so good. Once again, then, for the winner we return to Waziri.
