In depth
Verdict
Arabian Dancer has been a bit disappointing so far but can improve to open her account at the expense of Agent Kensington and Born For Dancing. After failing by a short-head to score on her Redcar debut, Mick Channon's filly was then sent to Ascot to take on Jewel In The Sand in the Listed Albany Stakes. Not disgraced in sixth, she then finished fifth behind Richard Hannon's star in the Cherry Hinton, and it is hard to believe that she has not gained due reward in two subsequent outings. However, the stable had a lean patch at the start of August but appear to be over that now, and judging by Arabian Dancer's latest piece of work on the summer ground on Saturday, she must surely come good this time. Agent Kensington will be a tough rival, especially with the Hannon team in good form again, while Born For Dancing should strip fitter for her debut second to the useful Kissing Lights at Warwick. We shall follow Arabian Dancer until she delivers, and let us hope that is today.
