In depth
Verdict
In a weak contest, Magico may oblige over Confuzed, Pererin and Young Love. This selling handicap for three-year-olds and upwards is not one to dwell on too long, but at least Magico seems to be improving enough of late to warrant a second glance. It may have been the stiff finish that proved his undoing when beaten at Leicester in July, as he hung left in the closing stages when coming to win the race. Even so, that was his best career performance, and if taking to this track, he could well repay his new connections straight away. Confuzed failed to quicken over seven furlongs at Brighton so should be suited by today's trip, as should Young Love who was right behind in fourth. Pererin was on the premises at Yarmouth in similar company to this so is another to merit a mention, and as for the rest, the market will be the only guide. A small interest in Magico is the suggestion.
