        Verdict

        Tashreefat may keep up the recent good run enjoyed by Ed Vaughan, with Simonda, Sovietta and newcomer Let's Pretend all worth noting. The latter is a Rainbow Quest filly, and being a sister to Rainbow High, can make up into a nice staying sort in time. She could be anything, but Tashreefat has the edge in experience and there was a lot to like about the way she overcame a slow start to knuckle down to her task behind Deep Purple at Kempton in July. She is not bred to stay a yard further than today's trip but on this occasion at least, can come out on top over Barry Hills' filly. Simonda looks the pick of Amanda Perrett's pair and a staying on second at Windsor should ensure that she should progress as well. However, the horse that beat her then, Day To Remember, is trained by Ed Vaughan so he will certainly have a form-line to work on. Sovietta acts on the track although she was well held by Idealistic three weeks ago, and does not make anywhere near as much appeal as our idea of the winner, Tashreefat.
