Verdict

DIGITAL can return to winning ways here, and is preferred to Witchry and Don Pele. Mick Channon's gelding won this event last year; he's not been in the winners' enclosure since, but does like Bath, with a quarter of his career wins coming here. This is his level now and he should be okay on the ground. Being drawn in stall one is an added bonus, as he tries to defy top weight. Witchry won on soft ground at Chepstow earlier in the season at a good price, and again shouldn't be troubled by the going. He's off his lowest ever mark these days, and is likely to find supporters. Don Pele is also off his lowest mark, and has won better contests than this in his time, and is again proven when there's plenty of cut in the ground. Our selection though is the old boy, Digital.
