Verdict
Another handicap that could have been more competitive and Hughie Morrison has found a good opportunity for Cape St Vincent to follow up his recent course and distance win, with Currency and Blue Tomato looking the probable dangers. Cape St Vincent had never won on turf before his last outing, but shaped up well there. With a similar draw here and also a bit in hand to cope with the 5lb rise, he looks capable of following up, with little else in great form. The major threat could come from one of Milton Bradley's trio, Currency. Unsurprisingly, as the handicapper has relented the gelding's form has improved, and with a course and distance win off a similar mark to today's on his CV, the eight-year-old looks capable of going close once again. Another of Bradley's trio, Blue Tomato, can also go well. He is a shadow of his former self, having plummeted through the ranks, and the fact that Ryan Moore has deserted him here is not a great recommendation. However, he showed a glimmer of form at Doncaster last month and we write any Milton Bradley sprinter off at our peril. Of the others, Najeebon is capable of a good run from this mark, while Cerulean Rose can get competitive, but we prefer Cape St Vincent, who can go in.
