Bolodenka faces no easy task off a 7lb higher mark than when beating Transvestite (beaten since) by half-a-length at Newmarket last month and Willie Musson's gelding looks worth taking on, with preference for War At Sea who created a favourable impression when scoring at Goodwood last time. The selection showed a rare turn of foot to land the one-mile maiden in decisive fashion and with plenty more improvement to come he looks to have been let in lightly on a mark of 83 for his handicap debut. John Gosden's Cashier did not have a great deal to beat to finally open his account last time and has to be respected on his first start in this grade, along with Sir Michael Stoute's Rohaani, who made a winning start at Pontefract but has more on his plate today off a mark of 87. William Haggas has his string in good form now so Very Wise may do better than on his reappearance and is another to consider along with top weight Prize Fighter, who has the assistance of Jamie Spencer but War At Sea looked one to keep on the right side of when scoring at Goodwood and gets the vote to follow up.
