made all, ridden 2f out, hard ridden towards finish, all out
with leader until ridden 3f out, weakened approaching 1f out
held up keen towards rear, ridden 2f out, no impression
chased leaders, proven 3f out, stayed on to chase winner over 1f out, kept on
slowly into stride, held up, steady headway over 2f out, soon ridden and weakened approaching final furlong
It always pays to follow Mick Channon at Bath, and from stall three, his newcomer Cayenne can open her account at the first time of asking ahead of Chance For Romance and Hunting Pink. Cayenne has been catching the eye on the gallops of late and although holding no fancy entries, this daughter of Fraam is expected to pay her way sooner rather than later. Her biggest danger among those to have raced so far is Chance For Romance who ran green when beaten by another Channon youngster, Black Oval, at Salisbury three weeks ago. A half-sister to Romantic Liaison and Romantic Myth, she will appreciate the slightly longer trip here. Hunting Pink patently failed to stay when tried over seven furlongs at Folkestone so it is no surprise that she comes back in distance here. The other debutantes appear nothing special on breeding and it would appear that Cayenne has a straightforward task.
