In depth
Verdict
SAND DIEGO (NAP) contested quite a strong Sandown maiden earlier this month and just failed to reel in a promising sort in Master McGrath. He's progressing well and that Esher form sets a useful standard. Aweemaweh was quite well backed on his Salisbury debut a week ago, staying on steadily in the closing stages to finish a fair fourth of 11. It is a slight surprise to see him revert to the minimum trip but it was a creditable first effort and he's one of the more likely ones. Falconidae will appreciate the return to this level after contesting a hot Newmarket nursery last time and completes the shortlist. The newcomers to note are Tommy Rock and Brad The Brief.
