In depth

Verdict

These veterans' races go down well with the public but the handicap sprint variety are frequently hard to untangle. Some are certainly not as consistent nowadays and the small weight range here complicates a difficult race further. Storm Melody has a leading claim if forgiven his last run but that was in a higher grade and he should be competitive off topweight dropping down to Class 5 from Class 3. King Crimson tends to throw in the odd shocker but is also perfectly capable of landing the spoils on a going day but we will go with UNION ROSE who has a pleasing record at this track, inhabits a fair mark and is the most consistent sprinter on show.
