Good Gorsoon can land the opener at the expense of Miss Firefly and Westwood. The selection enters the race off the back of two encouraging runs at Newbury and most laterly at Folkestone when catching the eye in third place. He looks an improving type and can break his maiden tag third time of asking. Miss Firefly is more exposed than most of her rivals with five runs under her belt. She looked as though a winning run was certain after her first couple of efforts and was a disappointing favourite at Haydock back in June. Since then she has run in better races and has struggles to trouble the judge as a result. Having said that this is s drop back in grade and has to be respected in such a race. Westwood showed signs of ability the last twice at Windsor. He finished a close third of sixteen last time out and if repeating that effort then he would have to go close again. But for the winner we return to Good Gorsoon.
