    Verdict

Majestical gets a narrow vote over Plateau, Petite Mac and Lambency. This apprentice affair presents punters with a tricky start to proceedings, but Majestical has at least won two of his last four races, and with the able Luke Morris on board, could be the one to side with. Vince Smith's five-year-old finally got his act together on Turf this summer, having previously saved his best efforts for the all-weather, and as he handles cut in the ground, is one of the more likelier sorts. Plateau is not the force that he once was, but the eight-year-old, formerly with Barry Hills and Dandy Nicholls, has the assistance of the promising Michael Stainton. Petite Mac is a course-and-distance winner but has gone off the boil of late, and Lambency has been hard to place to say the least. For the winner, we return to Majestical.
