Nonrunner

In depth

Verdict

Guadiana has posted enough placed efforts to merit support here, with Shaheer, Agilete and Dream Witness three others to conjure with. The market should be closely inspected here, but on the bare form, the chances are that Guadiana will prove up to the task. Tony Carroll's charge has been on the premises on each of his last four starts, including in a non-seller at Chepstow last time. Granted, that race was little better than this, but at least he is consistent, and looks sure to give another good account. Shaheer has been a close second on each of his last two outings, the most recent of which was in a Brighton claimer, and the fitting of a first-time visor can see him involved in the shake-up as well. Agilete has been very hard to win with and remains a maiden after 29 starts, while Dream Witness has yet to show what she is capable of, but to be fair, has only had six career outings. Guadiana has more claims than most in this mediocre event and should pay to follow.
